Anthony San Fillippo






Anthony San Fillippo (Tony) served aboard the SS William Grayson, the SS William Sturgis, the SS Arthur Riggs, the SS Champions Hill, and the SS Frederick Jackson Turner.
From 1946 to 1964 Tony served on many fleet ships in the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets. He served aboard the USS Oakland (CL-95), the USS Andromedia (AKA-15), the USS Le Jeune (AP-74), the USS Eberle (DD-430), the USS PC 1182, the USS Great Sitkin, the USS Mississinewa (AO-144), the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) the USS Randolph (CVA-11) and the USS Bennington (CV20).
He also did a tour of duty at the Pentagon, Washington DC, taught Radioman School at San Diego and retired from Adak, The Aleutians in May 1964 as Chief Radioman after 21 years duty.
