In Loving Memory of Howard Glenn Moon - May 3, 2005


Howard Glenn Moon served honorably in the WWII US Navy Armed Guard Service Howard was well liked and respected by his shipmates and officers. He always did his duty, accepting all assignments. Howard passed away May 3, 2005 at age 80 years and almost six months. Howard always enjoyed the Armed Guard Veterans Pointer and attended as many of the Texas mini-reunions as possible. He spent a day on the John W Brown Liberty Ship in August, 1998. In the pictures below you will see Howard at an early age and a picture taken in the hospital in Paris, Texas in February, 2005, still smiling despite what he was going through. What a Guy! Howard served on the following ships: SS Hugh S Legare 01/43-08/43 SS K R Kingsburk 09/43-03/44 SS Stephen Crane 03/44-10/44 SS Jacob Chandler Harper 12/44-12/44 SS Martin Behrman 03/45-05/45 SS Esso Simon Bolivar 05/45-10/45
