Sanford A "Sam" Moen
Sanford Moen was a member of the US Navy Armed Guard. He served aboard the
SS Keystone from May 1942 to June 1942, aboard the SS Calobre from August
1942 to April 1943, aboard the SS Lincoln Steffens from May 1943 to February
1944, aboard the SS Cotton Mather from March 1944 to December 1944, aboard the
SS Fred W Weller from January 1945 to March 1945, aboard the SS Rich Mountain
from April 1945 to June 1945 and aboard the SS Sea Dolphin from July 1945 to
September 1945.
Sanford is from Whitehall, Wisconsin. He served as a gunner in the Navy during
World War II and then switched to the Army and retired as a First Sergeant.
