Russian Convoy Club. The Russian Convoy Club is an Association of Veterans who sailed on the convoys to Murmansk and Archangel. Lock Ewe was the anchorage where the ships formed up before setting forth on their voyage to the Arctic Waters. The lucky ones returned to Loch Ewe. Many American and other allied vessels made up the convoys. Annual remembrance services are still held. The Memorial Stone was unveiled on 10 September 1999 at a service of remembrance for the shipmates who never returned.
