In Loving Memory of Floyd Mack Guenther

This information on Floyd Mack Guenther was furnished to me by his son, James. Floyd served honorably in the WWII Navy Armed Guard Service. He was assigned to the SS James H Breasted. He was well liked and respected by crew members and his Gunnery Officer. His ship was in action against the Japanese from 5 through 26 December 1944, and was sunk on the 26th. His ship was directly responsible for shooting down two Japanese planes and assisted in shooting down five more. It is 11 January 2007 and Floyd recently passed away. Floyd was a hero all his life.
